B.A., Business Administration, Northwestern College, M.A. Theological Studies, M.A. Christian Education, Bethel Theological Seminary, DMin. Candidate Church Leadership, Bethel Theological Seminary. Fourteen years of ministry experience, including serving as project manager of the “All Faith Alliance for Crime Victims” federally funded program for the Saint Paul Area Council of Churches for four years and as Director for the Abuse Children and General Crime Victims Programs of the Minnesota Department of Corrections for seven years. She is an ordained Elder serving in Open Door Evangelistic World Ministries.

Rachel Schwenke
Program Director
Graduate of North Central University in Minneapolis with a B.S. in Business Administration and Urban Ministries. She is currently pursuing her Master’s of Community Ministry Leadership at Bethel Seminary. Rachel was the Children’s Pastor at Christ Church International in Minneapolis for 6 years and an adjunct professor at North Central University.

Stephen Crawford
Program Developer
Graduate of North Central University with a B.A. in Urban Ministries; MDiv., Bethel Theological Seminary. Pursuing a DMin in Global and Contextual Leadership at Bethel. Stephen has 12 years experience in Urban Youth Ministry; he is also an Ordained Minister in the Assemblies of God Fellowship.

Tatrina Willams
Alumni Administrative Assistant
Trina is a current student at North Central University, and an Alumni of Urban Leadership Academy. Trina participated in ULA in the summer of 2002. She is currently majoring in Psychology, and plans to work with children and families after she obtains her degree.
Karen McKinney
Lead Teacher
B.A., University of Minnesota; M.Div., Fuller Theological Seminary; M.S., Mankato State University; Ed.D. candidate, University of St. Thomas; Director of Youth Ministries and Professor of Biblical Theology at Bethel University, with a special interest in experiential education. Karen is a minister at Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Minneapolis. She has been the chair of the Bethel Anti-Racism and Reconciliation Commission.
